Luucy watches as her husband writes a letter to the Great Pumpkin and calls it stupid all the way to the mailbox but then asks if he added that she tried to be good too.
Chuck explains that he doesn't believe in the Great Pumpkin because it has never been seen and thinks Lins has him confused with the Christmas Provider which he denies and compares it confusing the sun and the moon.
Lins is writing a letter to the Great Pumpkin that says that the Christmas Provider has more publicity making it number two it try's harder.
Chuck gets angry about Lins talking about the Great Pumpkin and Lins threatens to hit him and so he knocks a chip off his soldier with his blanket.
Chuck try's to call Lins but he refuses to speak to him because he doesn't believe in the Great Pumpkin and he will speak with no one who doesn't.
Chuck gets depressed about his arguments with Lins and Schroe try's to comfort him with Beethoven's problems which Chuck says it has nothing to do with it.

Lins is sitting in a pumpkin patch when Chuck apologizes to him but when Lins offers to wait together they get into another argument.
